Following the closure of the Coryton Refinery, Thames Oil Port, which the site is now known as, is being developed into a significant storage and shipping facility. Initially this will be exploited by Greenergy for diesel storage to take advantage of contango market conditions. Thames Oil Port recently celebrated the receipt of the first in a series of diesel shipments to be stored on site.
rak has a number of inspection engineers based at Thames Oil Port supporting both the pressure systems inspection and NDT needs associated with the extensive refurbishment of a number of tanks and pipework including a network of piping connecting the tanks to the Thames jetties.
