Graduate Civil & Structural Inspection Engineer
R & A Kay Inspection Services are a leading inspection services company catering for the onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial gasses and chemicals.
We are looking for a Graduate Civil & Structural Inspection engineer to join the Civil & Structural Team based on the Wilton International Site located between Middlesbrough & Redcar.
The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subjects and will have graduated within the last 2 years or will graduate this year.
Graduate Civil & Structural Inspection Engineer Position Overview
- Working with the civil & structural inspection team in the delivery of inspection services on new and aging assets.
- Create engineering drawings using CAD packages and sketches for drafting.
- Undertaking dimensional surveying such as GPS surveys & level surveys using a dumpy level.
- Ad-hoc production of structural calculations via hand calculations and use of Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds etc.
- Checking of information to be issued such as inspection reports, drawings, structural calculations etc.
- Management of own time to produce reports whilst working through a busy inspection schedule.
Graduate Civil & Structural Inspection Engineer Position Requirements
- Candidate should have experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, excel and PowerPoint.
- It is essential that the candidate has a full UK driving license.
- Experience in the construction or petrochemical industries would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience with computer aided design programmes (such as AutoCAD) would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience with operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) would be beneficial but not essential.
- A minimum of an upper second class (2:1) grade would be beneficial but not essential.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
